10-Day Roper River Boat Safari

The Roper is a beautiful and exciting river, forming the south-eastern boundary of Arnhemland.  It is renowned for its Barramundi fishing, and it empties into the fascinating Gulf of Carpentaria.  We explore all aspects of this river, visiting mud crab fishermen, and experiencing the magic of the Gulf of Carpentaria.

This river is navigable for 140 kilometres, from Roper Bar to its mouth in the Gulf of Carpentaria, with both fresh and saltwater being experienced.  On most occasions this trip includes a day spent with Arnhemland Aborigines, searching for bush tucker, plus other activities.

Common to all river trips are great scenery, birdlife, fishing, croc-spotting & idyllic campsites.

Price for this adventure:    $3350
