This would have to be one of the purest forms of relaxation yet devised.  It allows adventurous travellers the opportunity to experience the very essence of one of the world's great rivers.

A 20ft X 16ft traditional raft, comprised of 18 X 44 gallon [200 litre] drums and a timber top, fixed to a steel frame.  An incredibly stable craft, it has a canvas tarpaulin shelter on one end and occupants can sit on comfy deck chairs or lounge in their swags.  An inflatable boat is towed behind, and is used mainly for pushing the raft away from the bank.  The raft itself has no power, relying entirely on the flow of the river.

Most nights the raft is moored to the bank and people can sleep on or off the vessel.  The locations vary, depending upon where the raft is at the time.  Participants need to find their own way to and from the safari, but on most occasions, the Bush Safari Company operates a "service run."
